Wild River Fishing Adventure Competition – Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is Wild River Tours.
2. Who Can Enter
Entry is open to residents of New South Wales and Queensland, Australia, aged 18 years or over.
Employees, contractors and immediate family members of Wild River Tours are not eligible to enter.
Entry is free and limited to one entry per person.
3. Competition Period
The competition closes at 11:59pm AEDT on Sunday, 31 January 2027.
Entries received after the closing time will not be included in the draw.
4. How to Enter
Entrants must submit a valid competition entry by email and provide their:
- Full name
- Mobile number
- Town and State
Incomplete, duplicate or otherwise invalid entries may be excluded from the draw.
5. The Prize
There is one prize consisting of a 2-day fully guided Wild River fishing adventure for one person, valued at $3,350.
The prize includes the services and equipment specified on the competition entry page.
The prize does not include travel to or from the agreed Wild River Tours meeting location, accommodation before or after the trip, personal equipment or other expenses unless specifically stated as included.
The prize cannot be exchanged for cash, sold or transferred to another person without the prior approval of Wild River Tours.
6. Bringing a Mate or Adding Another Day
The winner may choose to bring an additional person on the trip, subject to availability and suitability for the chosen trip.
The additional person will be charged at the normal Wild River Tours additional-person rate applicable at the time of booking.
The winner may also choose to extend the adventure by an additional day at the normal Wild River Tours rates applicable at the time of booking.
These optional additions are not included in the $3,350 prize value and are payable by the winner.
7. Trip Dates
The prize must be taken during the 2027–28 Wild River Tours fishing season.
Wild River Tours will work with the winner to arrange suitable dates. Prize dates are subject to availability and will be scheduled around existing Wild River Tours bookings.
The winner does not have an automatic right to nominate or reserve a particular date.
The winner must make reasonable efforts to accept one of the suitable dates offered by Wild River Tours.
8. River, Weather and Safety Conditions
Wild river fishing is affected by river levels, weather, flooding, fire, access restrictions and other conditions outside the control of Wild River Tours.
Wild River Tours reserves the right to change the trip date, river, route or itinerary where reasonably necessary because of weather, river conditions, access, safety or other circumstances outside its reasonable control.
Any decision concerning whether a river or trip is safe to undertake remains with Wild River Tours.
9. Participant Requirements
The winner and any additional participant must comply with Wild River Tours’ normal trip safety requirements, instructions and participant conditions.
Participants must advise Wild River Tours of any relevant requirements or circumstances that may affect their ability to safely participate in the trip.
Normal Wild River Tours waivers and participant documentation applicable to guided trips will also apply.
10. Prize Draw
The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries on Monday, 1 February 2027.
The draw will be conducted by Wild River Tours.
The winner will be contacted using the email address and/or mobile number supplied with their entry.
11. Unclaimed Prize
Wild River Tours will make reasonable attempts to contact the winner.
If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond within a reasonable period specified by Wild River Tours, is found to be ineligible, or declines the prize, Wild River Tours may conduct a redraw from the remaining valid entries.
12. Changes Outside Our Control
If circumstances outside the reasonable control of Wild River Tours prevent the prize from being provided as originally described, Wild River Tours may provide a reasonably equivalent alternative or reschedule the prize where appropriate and permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
13. Privacy
Personal information collected through the competition will be used to administer the competition, contact the winner and verify eligibility.
Entrant information will not automatically be added to a marketing mailing list unless the entrant separately agrees to receive marketing communications from Wild River Tours.
14. Social Media
This competition may be promoted through Facebook, Instagram or other social media platforms.
The competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta.
15. Acceptance of Terms
By entering the competition, entrants agree to these Terms & Conditions.
